Sing Into Another World

This next photo of the one of the two boys playing and singing out at the Main Street Garden, really made it clear to me just how sharp and clear portraits could be with the 50mm, but also just how truly shallow the depth of field is at wide open f/1.8. The fact that one eye is in perfect focus, and yet the other is starting to go out of focus, blew my mind that night when I downloaded these photos to my computer.
