Long In Whiskers Short In Years

So I am laying down on the couch at my cousins, unable to fall back to sleep, staring at my cousins young cat frantically running into things head first. I’m not kidding, this has to be the clumsiest cat I have ever seen. And as I sit there, I get the urge to try and snap a few photos of this fine feline. Sadly the room was still too dark, the days sun not coming in through the windows yet. While I had my flash on me, the batteries were heading towards a nice slow death, and my diffuser was no where to be found.

After a few seconds of oddly enough sitting still for my photos, she was back on the move again. This time she went and sat on top of the dogs cage, the only place that had direct sunlight hitting it. Even though I had stopped shooting once she began moving, I quickly pulled back out the camera and got to trying to capture her one more time. The settings were off and I kept getting poorly exposed images.

It wasn't until she move away again, that I noticed the metering mode was changed for a photo i had done a while back and kept the photos from getting properly exposed in the mixed light. I admit it was a stupid mistake. This photo though was a bit salvageable and I was happy with it once I was done ;)

Enjoy :D

I love the lighting of this!!! :D This is so well done, it would make an amazing scratchboard piece if you were to allow someone to do that ^^
I also like the monotone scale of this. I don't know, I love colours but I also love it when something lacks colours.
